Coronavirus Diary RIDING THE SECOND WAVE by Ron McCormick

The work comprises a selection of photographs made during the first half of 2020 in response to the Coronavirus pandemic that swept the world.
The photographs record international and community responses to the disease mediated through the agency of the ubiquitous news channels that beam daily into our homes daily via television and computer screens while communities across the world suffered a regime of isolation, families were confined to their homes for months on end separated from their loved ones as the disease spread causing many deaths. Further waves of infection began to appear in countries that had initially managed to control the disease. In just six months to August 2020 over 18 million cases of Covid-19 had been recorded taking seven hundred thousand lives.This small volume records the spread of the disease through a series of visual "soundbites" as the author "surfed" the world's News Channels.
